New High Fat Salt And Sugar (HFSS) legislation comes into play soon, however there is still some confusion surrounding some of the finer points.

On 1 October, restrictions on the placement of HFSS product categories in high footfall areas of an affected store, such as checkouts, end-of-aisle units, store entrances, and designated queueing areas will come into force, and retailers need to be ready to ensure they are compliant.

We spoke to Ed Woodall, government relations director at the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) about what retailers need to do to get ready for HFSS, where they can find support and how proposed HFSS legislation in Scotland and Wales could cause further confusion.
