JTI has announced a new price point for its Winston brand, packs of which now contain 19 cigarettes.
From February, Winston Red and Blue will be available in price-marked packs of £5.79.The move would help retailers capitalise on the growing demand for value products, JTI said.
More than one in three cigarettes sold in the UK today is a value brand, it claims.
Packaging for Winston Red has also been redesigned to bring the brand more closely in line with its global identity.
Standard packs will also be available.
