Energy drink brand Rockstar is targeting drinkers wanting to watch their sugar intake with the launch of a new flavoured big can energy drink with zero sugar.

Manufacturer AG Barr feels that Rockstar Pure Zero fulfils the need for a low calorie option without the loss of taste.

The new drink is available in a 500ml format in the brand’s Fruit Punch flavour. According to Nielsen the energy drinks category is growing at 7%, ahead of the soft drinks market and within this big can are growing 15% with flavoured energy at 43% YOY.
