In response to demand for its double fermented Pilsner style lager, Cobra Beer is introducing a 35cl Mini King Cobra into the convenience channel.

Made with the same beer poured into a smaller bottle (rrp £9.50), the Mini brand is being introduced ahead of a complete relaunch for the regular 750ml King Cobra bottle.

The introduction of the 5.2% abv NPD and redesigned offer follows a £1.2m investment in the re-alignment of the King Cobra brand over the last few months.

Brewed in Belgium’s historic Rodenbach Brewery, Mini King Cobra is created using barley, malt, rice and hops from Bavaria’s Hallatau region before undergoing the primary fermentation process.

The lager is then refermented in the bottle, using the same method to that of champagne, to produce a more premium malt flavour that has an 18 month shelf life.

Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer, said: “I am thrilled to be launching our award-winning King Cobra in a smaller format.

“All Cobra Beer is brewed smooth for all food, and we are excited to launch this premium offering for consumers to enjoy with whichever cuisine they may choose.”

Convenience stores and independent retailers can order stocks of the Mini King Cobra bottle through Molson Coors Direct.
