UNILEVER UK has introduced double-concentrate Small and Mighty across its Persil and Surf brands.
The new format comes in a bottle which is half the size of existing liquid detergents, as a 35ml capful is sufficient for a full wash.
The smaller package saves shelf space and offers a higher margin than the liquid equivalents it replaces.
Unilever says the concentrated format will save the equivalent of 3.7 million plastic bottles across Europe and a 60% reduction in water use.
Persil Small and Mighty will be available from this month in Biological, Non Bio, Aloe Vera and Persil with Comfort variants.
Surf, which will focus on fragrance, will feature two variants: Surf Sunshine and Surf Tropical.
