This month sees wrestling heavyweights Smackdown and Raw merge to create one officially endorsed World Wrestling Entertainment title.
WWE magazine aims to offer wrestling fans better value. Previously, Smackdown and Raw were individually priced at £3, however the new WWE magazine will be priced
at £3.95.
There are plans for
top-quality bagged promotions to run at least four times a year.
The individual titles generated more than £1.5m in retail sales value but sales of WWE magazine alone are expected to top this. The title has significant retail support and 40% of the print run has been reserved for independent retailers.
Distributor Comag says WWE magazine should be displayed prominently in the sports sector, with two facings where retailers previously stocked both Smackdown and Raw.
