Mark has emailed to say: “I enjoy reading your articles in C-Store. There’s one this issue (April 15) ‘Nod, tip, wink’ about avoiding bank charges. I know that the banks very much disapprove of this practice, that personal bank accounts are for personal use and if they suspect a personal account is being used for business use then they will close that account. I’m no tax expert, but I also think the Inland Revenue would also disapprove and like to see clearly what is personal money and which is business.”

He adds: “Sorry to put a ‘downer’ on this article.”

I’m sure he’s right both on banks and taxes and must administer a slap on my own wrist. (On the other hand, I did call it Nod, tip, wink…nudge, nudge, know wot I mean?)
