Now for a little light relief - post office closures. Vipul Pabari has got a reprieve for his sub post office in Market Harborough even though it was threatened with closure and is only half a mile from the town centre, and therefore a crown office. "But we are the only one with disabled access and free parking," he says. "And we were lucky in that quite a few retired solicitors and brainy people live here. Plus, there's a new building development nearby and we were also on national TV. You must involve your customers - get them to fill in the forms provided while they're queueing. We had more than 1,000 forms filled in."
But, while Vipul is rejoicing at his and the other two offices' reprieve in Market Harborough, he has heard that in nearby Hinckley one more office will be added to the closure list.
