Kim Clarkson Nisa

Nisa has appointed Kim Clarkson as head of partner services on the senior leadership team.

Reporting into managing director Peter Batt, Clarkson will be responsible for shaping the future direction of the format and development proposition, ensuring Nisa’s level of service through stock control, logistics and supply chain functions, as well as delivering partner support service.

She joined Nisa in 2017 and was most recently head of cost to serve where she was responsible for identifying ways to improve profitability through proposition, network or customer facing activity.

Prior to joining Nisa, Kim spent 18 years at Sainsbury’s in various head of trading roles including meat, fish and poultry, fresh food, and in store bakery.

Clarkson will be supported in her role by Karen Hopkinson, who has recently been appointed to head up its independent supply chain and logistics network, as well as managing the relationship with its delivery partner, DHL. Previously, Hopkinson held senior operational and category roles at Co-op, Iceland, Welcome Break and Morrisons, where she led the rollout of their MLocal stores.

Managing director of Nisa, Peter Batt, said: “Both Kim and Karen bring a wealth of experience across wholesale, retail and logistics, and I’m delighted to announce their new roles within the business. They have both played a key part in strengthening both the Co-op and Nisa proposition and will be instrumental in helping to shape and deliver on our ambitions to be the wholesale partner of choice.

“Our retailers are at the heart of the decisions we make, and the work Kim will be leading, alongside an enhanced management team and the strong backing from Co-op, will set us in good stead to deliver our long-term ambitions. I’m excited about what the future holds for Nisa.”
