Londis is to implement two new training initiatives to help retailers get the most out of their employees.
A new modular training pack, available from April, will help managers offer step-by-step, on-the-job training for new staff.
"It's a simple guide that will teach new recruits everything they need to know about all the key product areas, as well as merchandising tips and the associated legislation," explained Londis head of HR Tim Painter.
The second initiative, the 'Recruitment Essentials Training Guide' has been designed to help retailers hone their hiring skills.
"Retailers tend to have a very transient labour force, which can be incredibly difficult to manage," explained Painter.
The new guide includes a series of questions which retailers can use in an interview to get a better idea of whether or not a person would make a good employee.
Three Londis retailers trialled the recruitment guide last year and reported positive results.
