RATIONAL has added a new cooker to its range with the emphasis on speed and convenience. The combi-cooker inventors believe the new SelfCooking Center provides better cooking quality and is much faster than a conventional oven. Aimed at convenience stores, the SelfCooking Center technology automatically selects the correct programme, with the operator simply having to select the food to be cooked.
The mixture of heat, moisture and airflow within the unit is precisely controlled, meaning cooking times are faster, browning is more even, food shrinks less and running costs are lower. The unit is available in a number of sizes and in gas and electric versions. Rational believes the compact six-grid tabletop version will be the most popular choice for c-store owners.
