In response to demand for healthier options, Vimto is adding two new No Added Sugar lines to its range.

A 250ml Still Sportscap Mini PET bottle pricemarked at 59p will be available from January in original and cherry flavours. The new ready to drink (RTD) format should attract more customers to trial the brand and the smaller Sportscap bottle design is set to appeal to mums looking for healthier options for lunchboxes or treats kids can enjoy on the go, claims Vimto. No Added Sugar products are growing across all soft drinks categories including a 25% growth in RTD, says the firm.

Vimto will also be launching a 49p pricemarked 250ml No Added Sugar Tetra into the Impulse channel in January.

“Overall, there’s an increase in demand for soft drinks that support healthier lifestyles and we’ve seen evidence of this through sales of Vimto No Added Sugar variants,” says Vimto brand manager Clare Brown. “The new, smaller version of our Sportscap bottle aims to appeal to children aged from 8 -14 years old. The No Added Sugar format gives parents peace of mind while the convenient Sportscap bottle appeals to children and prevents spills.”

Vimto’s value recently topped £64m and the brand has grown by 5.23% year-on-year.
