Diageo Great Britain (GB) has introduced Jose Cuervo Especial Silver, a new tequila variant which will replace Jose Cuervo Clasico. The new liquid has a smoother taste profile and is aimed at young adult males who enjoy white spirits. It will sit alongside the number one-selling tequila, Jose Cuervo Especial Gold.
Available in 70cl and 50cl bottles, Jose Cuervo Especial Silver has silver packaging to make it easier for shoppers to choose between variants and for retailers to display on joint fixtures.
Diageo says: "With white spirits holding a 40% market share, new Jose Cuervo Especial Silver will enable retailers to tap into the popularity of the category while offering tequila fans a new liquid from the leading brand."
