New drinks brand Roley’s has launched its first lager.
Launching through drinks distributor Love Drinks, Super Natural Lager 4.4% ABV (RRP: £2.95/330ml) offers notes of “delicate citrus, floral and soft malt aromas”.
It has 89 calories per can, which is 35.8% fewer than a standard 4.4% ABV beer, the brand claimed.
It is made using a “secret scientific process” and “all-natural ingredients” to create a ‘Super Natural Elixir’ that benefits the lager by removing sugars, lowering carbs and retaining B3, B5, B6 + B9 vitamins, said the brand.
Developed by English entrepreneur Stewart Rowley using Sheffield Hallam University’s microbiology team and laboratories, the lager provides “added benefits without compromising on flavour, mouthfeel or quality”.
Brewed sustainably in the North of England, the ‘Super Natural Elixir’ has the effect of turbo-charging the yeast which reduces the brewing time from weeks into hours.
Roley’s said this significantly reduces the environmental impact of an extended fermentation period.
To support the brand launch, the NPD is the official beer of the global fitness competition Hyrox throughout 2025/26 in the UK and Ireland.
“Like many former athletes, I learned the hard way that you can’t keep eating like a rugby player when you’re no longer training like one. After I stopped playing, the weight started creeping on, and as I was working in the fast-paced drinks industry, it meant I was drinking most days. Before long, I found myself struggling to perform, both personally and professionally. That’s when Roley’s journey began,” said Roley’s founder Stewart Rowley.
“My question was “could I create a great tasting, full-bodied beer with beneficial nutrients but without the excess calories and sugar?” That was 13 years ago, and the answer was ‘yes’ so here we are. It’s been an incredible journey to this point and I’m thrilled to launch Roley’s Super Natural Lager for the coming summer.”
Samantha Burke, managing director of Love Drinks, commented: “We were immediately blown away by Roley’s, not just by the drinking quality of the Super Natural Lager but by the technology, the team behind the brand and the incredible added value the beer offers to drinkers. As UK consumers continue to be more health conscious, we sincerely believe Roley’s can be a major disruptor and game changer in beer and beyond.”
