Previously only available in a 3kg box, Lion Confectionery’s Midget Gems are now being introduced in a hanging bag format. The pricemarked 150g bags, which feature a mix of liquorice and fruit flavoured gums, are expected to open the brand up to a wider audience. “The hanging bags category is currently valued at £519.5m, with an increase year-on-year of 8.8%, and fruit gums and jellies are driving this growth,” says brand manager Lisa Sullivan.
