Kingstone Press is to roll out shrink wrapped formats of its apple flavour ciders.

Available in four- and 12-packs, the wrapped cans are designed to provide ease of use for retailers and consumers. There will also be a 15-can pack available exclusively through Booker.

Sales and marketing director Glen Friel said that cans are helping drive the cider category. “Worth £306m, the canned cider market is an increasingly important category for us and is overtaking glass to become the number one cider format,” he said. “There has been an increase in can sales of 22% year-on-year, with apple multipack formats showing a strong growth in particular.”
