Rekorderlig has launched a tropical-flavoured cider, and introduced a single-can format for its top-selling variant Strawberry-Lime.
Rekorderlig Pineapple-Kiwi (3.4% abv) has rolled out in 500ml bottles and cans.
Made with Swedish spring water, the NPD was described by supplier Molson Coors as “pear cider with the fresh, juicy taste of tropical pineapple and a hint of kiwi.’”
It was designed to help retailers tap into growing demand for tropical flavours, which have become the fastest‑growing segment in premium fruit cider, the supplier said, citing Circana data.
Pineapple-Kiwi aims to “attract new shoppers to the cider category and drive incremental sales”, added the supplier.
Alongside the new flavour, Rekorderlig has rolled out Strawberry-Lime in a 500ml single can format. The move follows the introduction of Wild Berries and Peach-Raspberry in 500ml cans last May.
Sophie Mitchell, marketing controller for dider & beverages at Molson Coors, said: “Pineapple-Kiwi addresses a clear gap in the market – consumers want tropical flavours but can’t find them on shelf. At the same time, we’re seeing a real shift in how people shop for premium fruit cider, with single cans bringing new shoppers into the category.
“By launching Pineapple-Kiwi and expanding Strawberry-Lime into this high-growth format, we’re giving retailers the tools to drive sales across the summer months and beyond.”
