The demand for private label Christmas products produced by Bonds was so strong in 2014, that the firm has decided to launch its own range.

Available from early November, the gifting range will consist of Gold and Silver Milk Chocolate Baubles (both 150g, rrp £2.50), as well as stocking filler gifts in the form of Reindeer Fudge (150g, rrp £1.50) and Bah! Humbugs (170g, rrp £1.50).

The baubles act as an alternative to more traditional chocolate coins. Their upmarket design gives the range a luxury feel, which makes them ideal for the Christmas dinner table, or as an unusual tree decoration, advises Bonds.

Although more unorthodox than Christmas chocolates, humbugs have proved to be a great seller around Christmas time as an alternative to candy canes, says the firm.

Fudge has proven popular amongst mid-size multiples and convenience stores during the Christmas period in previous years and this demand has inspired Bonds to launch the festive-themed Reindeer Fudge, which will be perfect as both a gift or to keep at home to treat visiting family and friends.

Managing director Philip Courtenay-Luck said: “We’re confident all the lines will be popular amongst both retailers and consumers, but we think the baubles are something really unique and exciting. Diversifying our range to include these Christmas gift offerings will let us tap into the Christmas gifting market. As well as this, their distinctive design will look great in shops’ counter lines, and the baubles are provided in shelf ready packaging, which will make displaying them as easy as possible for retailers during the busiest time of the year.”

Bonds’ ever diversifying product range comes with the news of their recent relocation to larger premises, which is over double the size of their old site. The move was on the back of a bumper year which saw a 12.2% increase in turnover to £15.58m.
