Birds Eye has expanded its waffle range with the launch of its new vegan and gluten-free sweet potato waffles.

The new product is low in saturated fat, contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and counts towards an individual’s 5-a-day.

Pete Johnson, general marketing manager at Birds Eye, said: “Our classic potato waffles are an icon in the UK and Ireland, and have gained in value through TV and in-store investment across four decades.

Birds Eye’s new sweet potato waffles are available to convenience retailers now, with a pack of eight carrying an rrp of £2.50.
