Booker Group is opening a 117,000sq ft distribution centre in Fareham, which will improve deliveries for its symbol members in the South East.
The firm’s recruitment and attraction partner Dylan Crooks told LinkedIn followers: “Our new location will enable faster deliveries across the South East of England. This project continues our ongoing expansion, as it seeks to enhance accessibility and convenience for all of our customers. At full capacity Fareham will be able to deliver circa 220,000 cases of stock per week to our group customers such as Londis, Budgens and Premier across the Southeast.”
He said that the firm was looking to bring on board around 200 colleagues and is currently recruiting for a series of roles, including: general manager, people advisor, warehouse operations manager and HGV drivers.
The site was previously a Macro Cash & Carry.
