at end of day a businessman will pass his increased cost to the consumer . many smaller retailers have trimmed their staff to the bone . where else do you do the saving ? for small retailers it is worth having absolute min staff despite lowering sales as it keep the bottom line . the medium and large retailers can absorb higher costs with some stream lining which is not an option for small retailer .
