Mehmet Guzel, who runs three Simply Fresh stores in London and Hertforshire, says he wants to consolidate his range to make for a better shopper experience.
”For us, at the moment, it’s all about organising and cutting down on the number of skus. We are going to look through EPOS data and any products which are selling less than one or two units a week, we are likely to cut.
“We want to make it easier for people to shop the range and perhaps make room for some more artisan products such as premium gins and vodkas.”
Mehmet will start to think about Halloween very soon but hasn’t started pushing seasonal products too early.
”We don’t have any seasonal products out yet. I think it’s still a bit early. We did get some pumpkins in yesterday so I might put out a couple soon.”
The best selling categories in Mehmet’s stores are still his chilled and fresh category and his fruit and veg.
