Tayto Group, UK’s largest snack manufacturer, has teamed up with Yorkshire snack brand Bite UK to create a new partnership that will see Pure Bite snacks distibuted throughout Tayto’s global network.

Bite UK is aiming to become the UK’s leading healthy snacks business and its Pure Bite products will now stand alongside Tayto’s Golden Wonder, Real Crisps, Mr Porky and Portlebay Popcorn portfolio.

The Pure Bite brand has also unveiled a refreshed design that draws attention to the product’s health credentials, as a snack that is vegan, free from dairy, gluten and preservatives, and high in fibre and protein.

The range is sold in five flavours, including: blueberry & cranberry popped rice clusters; strawberry and gojiberry popped rice clusters; almond nut clusters; hot & spicy nut clusters; and strawberry coconut clusters, and comes in 20g - 30g packs (rrp £1.69).

Bite UK founder Jason Bull, who will continue as managing director after the company’s tie-up with Tayto, said: “Expect to see Pure Bite everywhere in 2019! The support that the Tayto Group can provide is unprecedented. The potential for growth is huge and their expertise will help us to take healthy snacking into the mainstream and deliver our vision of being the UK’s leading supplier of healthy snacks. I look forward to making Pure Bite one of the nation’s favourite brands.”

John McQuaid, sales director for the Tayto Group, added: “We value healthy snacking and recognise that consumers demand healthy snacks without compromising on flavour. I am impressed with the outstanding health and taste credentials that Pure Bite provides and the ability to deliver both propositions at a competitive price to retailers and trade sets the Pure Bite brand apart from other competitors.”
