WHYTE & MACKAY is relaunching its eponymous brand with an emphasis on the drink's Glasgow heritage.
? The brand is reintroducing the old roaring red lion icons and a bottle design based on the brand's earliest incarnation in 1844 that celebrates its Glaswegian origins.
? The company says that the new labels, with their bold black and metallic red colouring, will give the brand a masculine feel.
? The labels' strong colour scheme will also give the scotch a strong shelf-standout,
it believes.
? The brand has also changed the age of its selected blends to 13-, 19- and 22-year-old blends.
? The original Whyte & Mackay blend will be renamed 'Special', which is the name it went by when it was first launched 162 years ago.
