SPAR Kitt Green 1

Christmas has arrived early for Spar customers in Wigan, with the relaunch of a community store in Kitt Green.

Following a 10-day closure, Spar Kitt Green has benefited from a complete refurbishment, and the team - who have over 100 years of combined experience working together welcomed customers back into their transformed store.

Changes include a new Clayton Park Bakery counter offering hot and cold fresh Food To Go which has been installed adjacent to the till area. A new Cheeky Coffee machine has been added to the store.

Ahead of the relaunch, the new store has partnered with One Vision Studios, a charity that works to advance the education of people with disabilities and promote social inclusion by preventing people with disabilities from becoming socially excluded.

One Vision Studios staff and members were invited down to cut the ribbon to reopen the store.

Fiona Drummond, company stores director at James Hall & Co. Ltd, owner of Spar Kitt Green, said: “We’re very excited to reopen Spar Kitt Green to the community. We ‘ve invested significant money into its revamp, and I’m delighted with how the store looks and feels.”
