Nuva, a new generation of flavoured water which is completely free of sugar, sweeteners, calories and preservatives, is now available to retailers.
Natural spring water Nuva is the result of a collaboration between former Evian marketing director Christine Renier and entrepreneur Gemma Pond, who recognised there was a gap in the market for a healthy flavour-enhanced water.
The soft drink, which comes on flavours of cucumber & mint, ginger & lemon and melon & jasmine, is packaged in 500ml fully recyclable PET bottles for on-the-go consumption with an rrp of £1.49. The launch is supported by a robust marketing programme including consumer facing PR and a social media campaign.
Christine Renier, Nuva managing director, said: “The bottled water market may be burgeoning but there are two realities that have driven us to look for the new generation of flavoured waters: consumers still aren’t drinking enough water to stay properly hydrated and, as the anti-sugar momentum builds, they have started to wake up to the amount of ‘hidden nasties’- like sweeteners - that are abundant in existing flavoured waters.”
