AG Barr is building on the success of the Rockstar brand with the introduction of a new Pineapple & Coconut variant (RRP £1.19) to the Rockstar Freeze range.

“Energy is a hugely important category for retailers with more than 1 in 3 ‘Drink Now’ soft drinks purchased being an energy drink (IRI),” said Adrian Troy, head of marketing for AG Barr.

“Big Can flavoured energy continues to drive the category and within this Rockstar flavours are the star performers, growing by 27% in the last two years (IRI).”

The Rockstar Freeze range was launched in August 2015 and sold nearly 4m cans within the first six months (AG Barr). Rockstar Freeze Frozen Watermelon is already the 5th bestselling energy flavour in the UK (IRI).
