Pladis has announced two cookie additions to its best-selling McVitie’s Hobnobs range in the form of Oaty Cookies Chocolate Flavour Chips in dark and milk chocolate versions.
“There’s a clear gap in the cookies market for a differentiated eating experience” explains Eleonore de Saint Perier, brand manager. “Hobnobs is perfectly placed to deliver this through its brand equity and delicious oats – it’s a much loved, fun and trusted brand, with great appeal to under-35s.”
The new lines have been produced with 100% wholegrain oats and chocolate flavour chips to deliver a wholesome, home-made look and feel and a chewy texture.
“In consumer testing, it was the Hobnobs Cookies’ home-made rustic appearance, with the ‘Hob-nobbly’ texture of wholemeal oats that appealed, as well the fact they are different to anything else on the market,” Saint Perier adds.
McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Cookies have an RRP of £1.75 for 155g, and will be available widely to multiple retailers at the end of the summer.
