Co-op has released details of its 2025 Christmas range for retailers, which is home to both newcomers and returning favourites across sweet and savoury, meals and snacks.
The range covers all the essentials for festive moments and celebrations throughout the Christmas period, and has been tailored to retailers’ convenience shopper bases, Co-op says.
In the food to go category, Co-op is launching a first-to-market Irresistible Turkey Double Dip ’n’ Dunk wrap. It’s also bringing in an Irresistible Panettone 500g for the first time, made in the Piedmont region of Italy by a second-generation family bakery and baked using traditional methods. There will also be a smaller 100g chocolate version for gifting or stocking fillers.
The group adds that its hero flavours of the season are Gingerbread and Maple, which run through many of the retailer’s sweet treat and desserts, including its alternative mince pie flavour, Irresistible Gingerbread and Maple Mince Pies
It’s also bringing back its award-winning Irresistible Luxury Mince Pies and festive favourite crisp flavours - Irresistible Pigs in Blankets Crisps and Irresistible Black Garlic & Camembert Crisps
The range phases into stores throughout the festive period will see sweet treats, mince pies and crisps launched in September. At the end of October, sandwiches will come online, before November sees the new ranges in crisps and mince pies go live. December will host party foods and mains and starters.
Nicole Tallant, director of Co-op own brand and technical, said: “Consumers are short on time over the festive period, so as a convenience retailer we know that we’re well placed to serve the spontaneous and quick shopping missions.
“We’ve focused on product innovation this year across the categories that play a key role in the convenience missions so we can build on the success of last Christmas. The addition of delicious newness in Food to Go, Party Food, Bakery and Treats & Crisps products will help us to stand out amongst other retailers and encourage consumers to cross the road to Co-op stores.”
