The Berry Company is planning a brand overhaul and an exciting suite of new wellbeing products in food and drink.

The company will begin by re-launching its existing juice and tea range with 40% reduced sugar and calories, along with a refreshing new pack design.

Founded in 2006, The Berry Company has rapidly expanded to sell 16 juices and special teas in more than 50 countries around the world and now looks to build on this success by tripling its unit sales from 16 million to 50million over the next three years.

In the fruit juice category ‘take home’ and ‘on-the-go’ retailers are struggling to attract new customers, with penetration losses coming from consumers moving away from the traditional orange, according to the company. So The Berry Company is looking to utilise its range of exotic juices and special teas with super-berries to its advantage, providing exciting flavours and increased choice.

The new recipe (rrp £1.29 per 330ml and £2.29 per 1 litre carton) contains 40% less sugar and only 27Kcal per 100ml, offering consumers a lighter option without compromising on flavour.

The Berry Company are planning a series of other NPD launches throughout the year, including: Kids NFC Low sugar juice, Organic Low calorie carbonated drink, Organic protein smoothie, Organic Granola Protein Bites and Organic Freeze Dried Powder.

CEO and founder Khaled Yafi said: “2016 is going to be a very exciting year for The Berry Company as we work towards a complete brand re-launch. Not only are we filling a gap in our portfolio for low calorie drinks we are also in the process of extending our portfolio into the breakfast and ‘on-the-go’ snacking categories.

“We are also looking to tackle the growing demand for exciting flavours within the ambient drinks category by offering everyday, active consumers a choice of products that suit their lifestyle. Our love for exotic superberries remains at the heart of our brand but we will continue to experiment into new and exciting brand extensions. Watch this space.”
