Almost 1,000 Nisa retailers are now ordering their bread and morning goods through central distribution.

The new service was introduced in early 2012 with a total of 2.3 million units of bread ordered in the year to date.

Each participating member is currently ordering approximately 150 units of bread per week, with one large member currently topping 1,900 units, Nisa said.

The service, which sees goods delivered on the temperature control delivery fleet, allows members to buy bread at competitive prices without having to source elsewhere.

Nisa distribution director Jonathan Stowe said he was thrilled with the rollout, which also contributed to a festive sales uplift for Nisa retailers. “Nisa is continually looking at ways to enhance the service it provides its members and it is constantly evolving its offer to ensure it provides the best package possible to its retailers,” he added.
