Raj Aggarwal, who runs a Londis store at Wigston, Leicester, was named My Shop is Your Shop Retailer of the Year at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors' Gold Medal awards last month.

Raj and wife Sunita won the award thanks to support for their neighbourhood and local charities.

Raj said: "We are pleased to receive this not just for our business but because it helps consumers recognise the value of the family- owned business."
