The Nisa Members Association (NMA) has re-asserted its wish to act as a 'critical friend' to the Nisa-Today's board, but says it remains in the dark over negative comments made about the association in a recent board statement.
The statement, which claimed that the NMA had 'caused considerable damage' to Nisa-Today's standing in the trade, surprised NMA officials, who were confident of progress between the two parties after a meeting with senior executives at the beginning of the year.
The NMA said: "We can and want to be their friend as, after all, any member of the NMA is also a shareholder and customer of Nisa-Today's."
