Nisa has announced that its Cider Festival event will return to stores this spring, to help retailers drive footfall and increase sales in the cider category.

Running for three weeks from now until Sunday April 15, the promotional event is designed to offer Nisa members competitive pricing on a range of ciders.

The 2018 festival is being supported by themed marketing materials and POS including shelf hangers, hanging signs, posters and gondola-ends. Last year’s promotions generated sales of £1.84m, Nisa said.

This year’s offers include Kopparberg (10x330ml at £10), Smirnoff cider (10x330ml at £10), Strongbow and Strongbow Cloudy Apple (10x440ml at £8) as well as 500ml bottles of Rekorderlig (2 for £4) and Kingstone Presse (12x440ml at £6).

Nisa trading controller for beer, ales and cider, Sam Yeadon, said: “The resurgence seen in the cider market in recent years continues and we have had some real success in our previous Cider Festival events.

“We’re confident that again, we are providing a strong offer to our members and their customers and we hope the event will drive an uplift in sales for our retailers.”
