Retailers’ Retailer of the Year 2026 finalists

Ashan Chaudry, Triple ‘a’ Foodhall, Costcutter Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Multi-award winning retailer, Ashan Chaudry has helped create a new type of store at Triple ‘a’ Foodhall in Nuneaton. With a food to go offering that takes in inspiration from around the world to a grocery range that ensures customers can get everything they need under one roof, Ashan has made Triple ‘a’ a store to be reckoned with. As well as the tremendous store offering, he spearheads support for the community via hosting local groups, sponsoring sports teams and holding events for families.

Dee Sedani, One Stop Matlock, Derbyshire
Always at the forefront of innovation, Dee Sedani is a long-time champion operator who is now focused on supporting other retailers in the sector and helping them maximise the potential of their stores. An early adopter of the One Stop franchise model, Dee never shies away from new categories including a gelato offering but his mantra is to give his team the agency to try out new ideas and make them work in order to build managers for the future.

Priyesh Vekaria, One Stop Carlton Convenience, Manchester
Another award-winning retailer, Priyesh Vekaria brings a modern approach to convenience by embracing q-commerce and data utilisation to take his operation into the future. He has also used technology to combat crime at his store and protect his staff. From a community point-of-view he has also installed a 24-hour accessible defibrillator outside the store, a Major Trauma Bleed Kit for serious emergencies and a clearly signposted safe place policy for any vulnerable individuals - whether child or adult - seeking immediate support.
