I urgently need feedback from anyone who has recently replaced their shutters or who knows what their local planning policy is on the use of shutters.
This will help Surinder Rai and his father Piara Lal overturn an order from the planning enforcement officer at Bedford Borough Council to remove their new £10,000 security shutters because they are now against Bedford's policy (only the see-through chain-link types or the ones you put inside, rather than outside, are now allowed).
With the help of a local chartered surveyor they are trying to get this crazy policy changed. Full story next issue. So, if anyone has had a similar experience, let me know.
