Nailesh Gokani would like people to know that he does not recommend using the Post Office’s cash collection service. He isn’t trading at the moment as his forecourt is closed for a massive refurb, but when he was he had a lot of cash that needed collecting on a regular basis. The problem was that it wasn’t regular enough.

The PO didn’t charge when it failed to pick up, but that wasn’t the point. Cash flow, security and the terms of his insurance policy were his big issues.

He was let out of the contract without penalty so even the PO knew it wasn’t living up to its promises. He believes it is because the cash collection service has signed up a number of big name clients lately (and upgraded to fully armoured vehicles with guards) so is happily frying bigger fish.
