Gourmet Africa is introducing a selection of authentic cooking sauces to help retailers enhance their World Food ranges.

The four-strong range of 400g pouches (rrp £2.99) contain gluten-free recipes using natural ingredients and spices, in a format designed to serve four people.

The producer notes that West Africa is broadly perceived to be “the next big trend” in World Foods, while the sauces are versatile enough to be used with both protein and vegetarian options.

The range includes the mild and fragrant Bobotie Curry; the very spicy Durban Curry; the sweet and savoury Cape Malay Curry and the hot Ethiopian stew, Dora Wat. The latter which blends flavours of fenugreek seeds, ginger and dried basil, is traditionally served garnished with hardboiled eggs.
