Batchelors has announced the addition of three flavours to its Deli Box range.
Sweet & sour noodles, is available now in a 75g New York style takeaway box while bolognese pasta and tomato & chilli will be available in the New Year (rrp £1.19). The Deli Box range was launched in April 2012 and has achieved £6.6m value sales since then (Kantar).
It is hoped these new additions will help grow the £148m pot snacks sector (IRI) by attracting female adults and kids aged 11-16 to the market as well as appealing to the 78% of households that buy easy eating products regularly over the course of a year.
Batchelors senior brand manager Andy Smith said the new variants were based on UK favourites but with a healthy twist. “The new variants contain up to 85% less fat than a Pot Noodle and all contain less than 1% fat,” he said.
