French sparkling mineral water brand Perrier is launching a new range of fruity drinks with the introduction of Perrier & Juice.

The new range is launching in June, catering to health-conscious shoppers with its use of natural fruit juices and no preservatives.

Perrier & Juice is available in 25cl cans and only contains 46 calories per serving, making it perfect for those looking for a low-calorie, alternative sparkling drink. 

Each can contains 79% carbonated, natural sparkling mineral water and more than 15% fruit juice. The range consists of three variants; Strawberry & Kiwi, Peach & Cherry and Pineapple & Mango. (rrp £1.20)

Barbara D’Amico, international brands lead at Nestlé Waters, said: “Perrier & Juice is offering an alternative option to existing Perrier fans as well as bringing new shoppers to the segment with a low-calorie, sparkling drink with a splash of juice. The number of soft drink launches doubled last year (IRI Market Place Soft Drinks Value MAT 52 w/e 3 December 2017) and this is partly linked to the increase in shoppers seeking premium and lower calorie soft drinks options. Perrier caters perfectly to these consumers, offering a low calorie yet fruity and thirst-quenching drink from a classic brand.”

The flavoured sparkling water sub-category is evolving quickly, growing 34 times faster than the water category (IRI 24 February 2018).
