Parfetts has extended its own label medicines with the launch of Go Local Paracetamol, following the debut of its Go Local Ibuprofen line in January.
The new SKU is positioned to deliver “industry-leading” returns, with a POR of 62.1% at a £1 RRP, which is more than double the average achieved on branded equivalents, according to the wholesaler.
Available in 16-tablet packs, the shelf-ready trays come in “sleek branded packaging” with blister packs, designed to mirror the look and feel of branded products.
The late summer rollout is designed to ensure strong availability ahead of the peak winter medicines season.
Parfetts own label range has now surpassed 250 lines, accounting for 22% of total sales.
More than 35 new products are scheduled for 2025 across impulse, grocery and bakery categories, added the wholesaler.
Cheryl Hope, trading director at Parfetts, said: “The team at Parfetts worked hard to ensure there is no compromise in quality across our full range. From wine to baked beans, everything is tested, and we invest in working with the best possible producers. We want consumers to keep coming back for more.
“Own label is a key factor in increasing basket spend, and with products like our new paracetamol, we’re giving retailers the tools to boost margins and offer real value to their shoppers. This is just the beginning of our drive to expand the Go Local medicines category, ensuring retailers have a compelling own-label offer to rival the brands and meet shopper demand.”
