Carabao Energy Drink is launching a new multi-million-pound integrated marketing campaign entitled ‘The Bonkers Drink for Bonkers Lives.’
The new campaign brings to life the brand’s rather bonkers back story and draws parallels between this and consumers’ own busy, modern lives. The ‘Bonkers’ campaign will roll out across the UK this spring and summer through print, radio, digital, OOH, experiential, PR, TV and social media channels.
John Luck, chief marketing officer for Carabao UK, said: “In the last eighteen months, we have become a major football sponsor, launched a range of energy drinks that taste as good as soft drinks and secured significant distribution for Carabao across the UK. It’s been a bonkers journey so far, so we needed a campaign to make sense of it all.”
Carabao was created by rock star Aed Carabao and was named after a Asian water buffalo. The brand now sponsors the League Cup (Carabao Cup) and partnered with three different English football teams - Chelsea FC, Reading FC and Abingdon United Women’s FC.
