I’ve written many times about Harendra Bhatt’s daily struggle with Smiths News’ service. He runs a kiosk at Highbury Station in Islington so needs news on time. But now he has decided to take his complaint to Trading Standards.
His letter charges Smiths with malpractice. The usual problems of missing titles, missing credits and so on are listed.
He adds: “This is unfair on small businesses like mine who constantly has to chase them to abide by their own terms and conditions.”
And he further points out: “I have been in the retail business as a newsagent for the past 30 years and I have never experienced this kind of incompetence.”
I hope the TSOs don’t fob him off.
