Malibu, the UK’s number one coconut rum brand (Nielsen 24th March 2018), is kick starting summer with its Malibu Games campaign, featuring a TV advert starring Nick Jonas and Scarlett Moffat.

Kicking off the campaign is a new television advert, which will run from 25th May to 8th July, heroing the inaugural Malibu Games; a “three-day non-stop funfest” held in Vietnam. The film will air during ‘guilty pleasure’ TV shows, such as Love Island and Celebrity Juice, to reach the brand’s 18-24 year old audience.

Toni Ingram, head of marketing for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “We continue to push our summer campaign further every year to ensure it remains fresh and engaging for Malibu consumers who are looking for new news. To do this we enlisted the help of Hollywood A-lister Nick Jonas, who hosted the first-ever Malibu Games, and invited UK reality TV star Scarlet Moffatt to compete alongside fellow influencers in the heart of a Vietnamese tropical paradise. Over 30 global influencers were captured taking part in the games and the content will be used across social, digital and out of home channels to support the TV campaign throughout summer.”

The next activity will be the Malibu Games ‘Pool Party’ taking place at the height of summer. The much-anticipated event will see some of the UK’s coolest DJs grace the stage.
