CBD Drinks brand Goodrays has entered the convenience channel with listings at Spar stores at Forecourt Trader of the Year 2021 Hockenhull Garages in Leicestershire, where it claims to be outselling energy drinks.

In the first six months of trading, Goodrays reports that it is outselling traditional energy drinks across all eight Hockenhull sites, showing a promising trend for functional drinks in the convenience space. 

After securing listings in Tesco and Waitrose in 2022, and a marked increased distribution across all Waitrose stores in 2023, the team is now putting a lot of focus into the convenience sector for 2024. Goodrays announced a record growth of 1,457%  year on year in October 2023.

The carbonated Goodrays CBD Drinks, which promote relaxation, have a market-leading dose of 30mg of premium Colorado-grown CBD per can. The Ready To Drink cans come in four flavours: Raspberry & Guava, Blood Orange & Grapefruit, Passionfruit & Pomelo and Elderflower & Yuzu. Each 250ml can has a daily recommended dose of Vitamin D in each and just 33 calories. All the drinks are 100% vegan and have an RRP of £2.99 each.

Goodrays will provide ongoing sampling opportunities at Hockenhull’s sites, as well as supporting activity on bollard covers, shelf-talkers, digital screen media at the pump, digital screen media at the entrance.
