Fanta has teamed up with Universal Pictures and film makers Blumhouse to launch a limited edition flavour inspired by the iconic horror character Chucky, ahead of Halloween.
Fanta Forest Berries Zero Sugar is available now, and features a portrait of Chucky on the packaging.
The partnership also sees other horror icons appear on limited edition Fanta packaging, including Freddy Fazbear, The Grabber and M3gan.
Portraits include The Grabber on Fruit Twist and Fruit Twist Zero Sugar, Freddy Fazbear on Orange Zero Sugar and M3gan on Lemon.
Fans can get more from the characters by scanning the QR code on the side of cans and bottles to access exclusive content and experiences.
The Grabber is set to return in the upcoming release of Black Phone 2 - in cinemas on 17 October - while Freddy Fazbear will make his comeback in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 - in cinemas 5 December.
Both Universal films are from production company Blumhouse, known for leading horror films.
Rob Yeomans, vice-president of commercial development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, said: “Halloween continues to grow as a major retail moment, helped by Fanta, which has established itself as the soft drink of choice for spooky celebrations.
”This partnership with Universal Pictures and Blumhouse allows us to build on last year’s success and bring beloved horror icons to life in a fun, accessible way that resonates with both gen z and nostalgic adult audiences.
“All this activity gives shoppers a compelling reason to choose Fanta during this crucial trading period. We’re encouraging retailers to get behind the Fanta brand this Halloween, find creative ways to execute in store and take full advantage of the sales opportunity.”
Last Halloween, CCEP partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures to launch Fanta Zero Afterlife ahead of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie release.
