PayPoint is now offering Skype vouchers through its UK network.

The online communications and messaging service hopes to make itself more accessible to users who do not have access to traditional payment methods by offering vouchers through the 26,500 stores in the PayPoint network.

To coincide with the announcement, Skype has unveiled new calling rates for its pay-as-you-go customers which start from 0.6p per minute.

PayPoint UK & Ireland retail director Andrew Goddard said: “Skype’s increasing popularity means that demand is growing among people who don’t necessarily have access to bank accounts or plastic cards, which is why the PayPoint network is an obvious choice for Skype to extend its service to these customers.”
