Nisa and the Today’s Group have officially separated after more than 25 years.

January 30 saw the newly formed Today’s Wholesale Services relocate to new premises in Doncaster where it will continue to support its wholesale members, while Nisa has remained in Scunthorpe where it will continue to develop its retail business and distribution operation.

The separation allows both companies to tailor their individual strategies and change their resources and direction for their future success, said Today’s Group managing director, Bill Laird.

However, it did not spell the end of all existing relationships between Nisa and Today’s, which would continue to trade with central distribution.
Joint buying or distribution opportunities would also still be pursued, Laird added.

“I am confident that the commercial strategies developed by Today’s and Nisa will continue to deliver growth and new opportunities for our respective members,” Laird commented.
