R&R Ice Cream has released the Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich. The product is the third SKU in the Oreo ice cream range, which was launched last year, joining the successful cone and tub formats. It is expected that the Oreo Sandwich will further build on the success of these products, which last year achieved over £3.5m in sales.

The new addition to the Oreo ice cream range is part of the wider strategy adopted by R&R Ice Cream, drawing on the huge market value of big brands, reinvented in creative ice cream formats.

The Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich features a wedge of vanilla ice cream, scattered with Oreo cookie crumbs, and layered between two cocoa biscuits. It is available in a 135ml impulse format (rrp: £1.60) and take home 6 x 60ml multipacks priced at £2.99.

Paul Feery, head of brand marketing at R&R Ice Cream, said: “Tapping into the world’s number one biscuit brand, worth £4.3bn globally, is a sure fire way to add incremental value to the category.”
