Westons Cider is extending its Henry Westons brand with the launch of a new craft offering: Henry Westons Aged Finish.

The bright and sparkling medium dry cider is aged for up to 180 days to ensure a deep flavour and rich, long finish.

Available in 500ml glass bottles - exclusively in the off-trade - the new product offers traditional crafted cider drinkers the classic smooth and well-rounded flavour of Henry Westons, at a lower ABV of 6.5%.

Westons Cider hopes that the launch will leverage the success of its traditional crafted cider offer, Henry Westons Vintage, which it says is now worth £38m.

“With a great depth of flavour and a lower ABV, Henry Westons Aged Finish is an accessible cider that will broaden appeal for traditional crafted liquids across a wider consumer base and help us tap into a younger, even more discerning audience,” said Tim Williams, Henry Westons brand manager.

“Glass bottle cider accounts for more than £1 in every £3 spent in the off-trade and this format continues to grow by +2.4% year on year.

“By adding a new variant to our category-leading brand, we further cement it as a ‘must-stock’ for the convenience and grocery retail channels,” he added.
